Wildlife SOS
Wildlife SOS is one of the largest wildlife organisations in South Asia. It was founded in 1995 by Kartick Satyanarayan and Geeta Seshamani, with the goal of protecting India’s wildlife heritage, conserving habitats, and raising awareness about human-wildlife coexistence.
Flaming Koala is a proud friend and supporter of Wildlife SOS. We have adopted an orphaned baby Elephant Bani in their care, and our monthly contributions will help pay for the food, and medical care of our elephant friend.

Wildlife SOS's Key Areas of Work
1. Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation
Operates centers across India to rescue, treat, and rehabilitate injured and orphaned animals—ranging from sloth bears and elephants to leopards, reptiles, and birds.
2. Combating Wildlife Crime
Partners with law enforcement to investigate poaching and disrupt illegal wildlife trade networks.
3. Conservation & Habitat Protection
Works to protect endangered species through reforestation, habitat restoration, and reducing human-wildlife conflict near sensitive areas.
4. Ending Animal Exploitation
Internationally acclaimed for ending the cruel practice of "dancing bears" in India, and continues to rescue abused elephants from tourism, temples, and circuses.
5. Education, Research & Veterinary Care
Leads awareness programs and operates world-class facilities for wildlife care, research, and advocacy—like the Elephant Conservation Center and Agra Bear Rescue Facility.
